Default Link not revealed with Alt + F9

Hello everyone,

When I link an Excel chart / image in Word and then press Alt + F9, its link is revealed, but if I format its layout to be "Behind text" or "In Front of text" for example the link then will not reveal itself with Alt + F9 and instead remain as a chart / image.

Does anyone know why and how to fix this?

Thank you in advance.

This may be due to changing the formatting from inline to "Behind text" or "In Front of text". Even so, you can access the links via File|Info>Edit Links to Files or you could add the Edit Links to Files button to the QAT and access them via that.

Hello macropod, I understand that I can edit the links in another way, but I would like these specific charts to be revealed via Alt + F9 at a mass so I can change the path manually via replacement - is there no way to make them comply with Alt + F9 like everything else does in the document?

Temporarily saving the document in the older doc format changes the display behaviour for some links. That may work for you. The alternative is to use a macro.

I see, compatibility mode is not a possibility, I will research on the macro. Thanks again!
