Default How to save a PDF with header that extends to edge of page?

I have set my header and footer so that there is no default white line showing around the edge (screenshot below):

https://ibb.co/cT6k1F

Header:

  • Header From Top / Bottom: 0"
  • Width: 8.2"
  • Height: 1.25"
  • Offset X: 0"
  • Offset Y: -0.25"
  • Crop Position: Width 8.2"
  • Crop Position: Height 1.44"

Footer:

  • Footer From Top / Bottom: 0"
  • Width: 8.5"
  • Height: 1.18"
  • Offset X: -0.21"
  • Offset Y: 0.21"
  • Crop Position: Width 8.5"
  • Crop Position: Height 1.18"
Obviously it looks good in Word. But when I save to PDF (I get the "A header and a footer of section 1 are set outside the printable area of the page. Do you want to continue?" dialog box) it still gives me the default white margins (screenshot below):

Any assistance?

Extending the PDF all the way to the page edges is a pointless exercise if some of the content will be cropped off by your printer. That's what the 'outside the printable area of the page' warning is about. Most printers have a 0.25in/6mm non-printable area on some or all edges of the paper. If there is no printable content in that area of the PDF, you could:
• crop it to fit the printable area; or
• change its text wrapping to 'square',
and reset the margins to at least whatever minimum your printer requires. I assume the second option works on Macs - it does on PCs.

Otherwise, if you really need to create a document for full-page bleeds, try installing and activating a driver for a photo printer that can do them, then saving the document. Again, I have no idea of how printer driver installations work on a Mac - the ruse does work on PCs.

Macropod -- did not mean to cross-post; I did not realize the two forums were related. I have a client with a deadline and thought I would post on two forums for a faster answer. Apologies.

The page will not be printed; it is meant for digital transmission only, hence the desire for a full bleed. I am aware that printers crop off .125, which is why Word by default adds the white boarder on images.

They're not, which isn't what cross-posting is about. Please read the info in the link I posted.

Word doesn't do that at all; your printer does it. What Word will do is warn you that what you're trying to do isn't supported by your current printer; you'd get no such warning or white border if you used a printer (driver) capable of full-page bleeds.
