Header does not print
I am using Windows 10 and Word 2010 and ran across a problem. In my resume there is a header on top and when i go to print the entire document the header does not print at all. The header section is grayed out making it lighter than the rest of my document. Do I not have a setting selected to fix the problem?

It is normal for the header & footer to appear somewhat washed-out unless they're open for editing. This has no effect on the printout, however. Does the header display correctly in Print Preview?

File > Options > Display > Printing options. Ensure that the box for "Print drawings created in Word" is checked.

What Graham is guessing is that the header is in a Text Box or is some other kind of drawing/picture. Please write back and let us and others know if the responses helped.

I was wrong in what is happening sorry. When I wanted to copy & paste the entire document after doing Ctrl+A, the header did not transfer to the where I wanted to place the document.

OK.
From your original document you can copy and paste header to header in the new document. If it is more complex than that, try before doing the Ctrl+A putting a continuous section break at the end of the original document. |
