When I use either of them, either I get blank pages that don't show in word but show up when I turn it into a PDF or upload my .docx file to my book editor service; in other words, it creates blank pages that aren't showing in the word editor, but they're there.
Or, my gutter gets swapped - gutter that should belong to the right page is suddenly on the left page Or, the section breaks just don't work - I tell it "different first page" and erase the page number from my header. Then it deletes the page number for the entire section, not just the first page - which is where I deleted it from. Help? I've tried just about every combination of section break, continuous break, and page break that seemed reasonable. Page 6 (labeled page 4, it's the second time "4" shows up") is the one I'm currently stuck at. I can't remove it from the first page without it coming off the other pages too. I think that's because of where the breaks are, but then I run into the problems I mentioned above. |
