Default changing drop down menus in a mail-merged document

Can I change the properties of a drop down menu in all the different pages of a merged document?

Mail Merge?
Much easier to change them in the primary merge document and then perform the merge again.

The problem is that I have filled in all the other components of the 89 documents; when they (the club I work for) changed the input value on one drop down menu. It won't be terrible to edit one field in each document but it would be a lot easier if I could edit the properties in one drop down and make the changes from the edited drop down..

Drop down? Content Control?
You could make the change to one and then copy and paste.
