how to show heading under heading 1
i am writing a long text and i have a lot of heading 4 under a heading 1
but on the document map i do not see any heading 4 i tried making a heading 4 to heading 3 or 2 but still didnt see how can i see those heading 4 ? there are lot of them and hard to navigate without document map |

First, NEVER use the document map to move parts of a document around. It will corrupt your document.
I no longer have Word 2007 on my computer. If you right-click on it, can you change which levels are shown? Are there little + or - signs in the map that let you expand or collapse? |

logically, the next heading after a level 1 heading is a level 2 heading – if you want the level 2 heading to use the same formatting as your current level 4 heading, try updating the definition of the level 2 heading

Do you have no headings 2 or 3?
Expand your heading 1, 2 & 3. |
