Default Goback mark in the right bar

system ver. Win10
Office ver. 2013

I need the mark in the right bar that decide to go to the last point I viewd the file when I open a word file every time. On some day it did not appear anymore after opening a new word file. But the"Shift+F5" is still working. For example: if I close file A and open it immediately, the mark will appear. But if I close file A and open a file B and close file B and then open file A, it will not appear, while the"Shift+F5" is still working.
I need this mark, because I do not want to type if I can use mouse.
Thanks for help.

Which file format are you using? See if upgrading to the most recent file format brings back the Welcome Back notice.

It is Microsoft word document. I saved them as word document. They are not 2010 or 2007 format. These files are OK at first, and I may have done something in some day.
Even uninstall office cannot solve it.
All the working files are in drive D. I create 3 new word documents on the desktop for experiment. I found that only the first one can show the bar all the time while the other 2 cannot.
It seems like that some temporary information cannot be remenbered. Only the first file and the one just closed to be reopen can show the bar.
BTW, Shift+F5 is still working all the time. I want to know where is the cuty bar?

What, if anything, is different in documents where you see the problem? Content? Number of pages?

No clue. Will untip "Snap to grid when document grid is defined" a problem?

Because I create 3 fresh new documents on the desktop at the same time and the first one is totally OK, I do not think it will be problem about content, pages.

As far as I am aware, "Snap to grid..." isn't a known cause of trouble. You can always experiment with the option and see if you notice a difference.
