Default Book fold printing problem

Dear friends,

I've been trying for hours to do a book fold document, but a few weird things kept happening. If i insert a picture in the first page, the printout will shift the data to the left of the landscape.

But if i remove the picture, everything is OK...the printout appear at the right side of the landscape; which is what i wanted.

I've tried resizing the picture but the the result is still the same. Hope to receive help here.

Thank you.

If you don't mind getting used to a different program, I would recommend learning Publisher. Publisher is ideal for making books, while Word demonstrates some of the challenges you're describing. Word is more for letters and reports.

I'm not sure I entirely understand what the complaint is, but have you tried playing with the text wrapping and picture position options? It sounds like one of these settings may be something you don't want. Be sure to check out the advanced settings as well. Sometimes, Word gives me non-sensical text flow related to image placement, and I can fix it by switching the wrapping from square to tight (even though that shouldn't make the difference).

You might try uploading the Word file in question so we can see what it's doing.

Hi Brazzell,

Thank you for your reply. Attached is my booklet template. I have to remove remaining pages due to certain reasons. I have tried another test print based on this template and the result is still the same.

Before that, just now i have already installed Office 2007 SP2.

As time is limited, i may have to stick to Word first. I guess i will have to learn up Publisher soon. Thank you.

The images stay in place on view, print preview and printing on my end. Which image or which data is moving on you?

Hi Brazzell,

Thank you for your reply. As in any normal booklet, all printout of page 1 is supposed to be my cover page; which is supposed to appear on the right of the landscape so that when i fold it, the right side acts as cover.

On my side, when i preview, everything appears as it's supposed to be in a booklet, but when i print, the picture appears on the left of the landscape while the texts is on the right side. I still can't figure out how this kept happening.

I tried to print on 2 types of printer - multi-purpose & laser jet; both gave the same result.
