Headers and Footers query
Hi all
Hope someone can help. I have a document with both a header and footer. Sometimes the document will be short enough to only be one page long in which case I want the header and footer on the same page (that's straightforward). However, sometimes, the document will be 2 or more pages long. In these instances I want the header on page 1 only and footer on the last page only. Hope this makes sense. Can this be achieved? |

You can use a first page header which takes care of the first page. The footer is a liitle more difficult as you need to enter the same footer in both the first page footer area and the primary footer area (You can insert a temporary page break if necessary to aid setting the primary footer).
That footer would be { IF { PAGE } = { NUMPAGES } "This is the last page Footer"} where the bit in quotes is the whole of the footer. Use CTRL+F9 for the bracket pairs {}.

You will need to put the same footer formula in the first-page footer. The setting for different first page applies to both the headers and footers in the section.
