Default Envelopes always want to print on a full page instead of an envelope

So I keep trying to print an envelope; I have done this with an envelope template and through mailings. Every time I try to print one it always wants to print it on a full page.

The envelope template has a paper size of Envelope #10. When I print from the envelope template the paper type is selected as Envelope #10. In the printer properties, the paper size is set to use Envelope #10 and the Fit to paper size is set to Use same size. The paper tray is set to Automatically select. When I print, the printer loads the paper from the manual tray (as it should) but prints on a full page; if I put an envelope in then it only prints a bit of the return address on the corner of the envelope and if I put a full page then it prints as if the full page were an envelope (i.e. the return address is in the corner but really large font and the recipient address is in the middle of the page but also really large font). The only fix I was able to come up with is going through the print menu and then the printer properties and change the Fit to paper size to Envelope #10.

When I print from the mailings tab I run into the exact same issue; the envelope always prints as a full page and nothing I do seems to help.

Does anyone know what I can do so that I can use the mailings tab to print an envelope and/or use an envelope template and just quick print instead of going into the printer properties?

Try updating your printer driver.

I generally use my own envelope template that I know works. This allows me a much nicer return address and layout. To use this with merge, I simply start it as a letter merge using the envelope as the primary merge document.

Everything I know about envelope printing I learned from Graham Mayor's site. I would recommend going there and searching for "envelope." You'll find a wealth of help and information. This will take a little time, but in the long run will be worth it.
