Default 1 pt Line Spacing Using Mouse

Hello Everyone,

Within Page Layout/Spacing:

Is there any way to change the increments that the spacing arrows use when clicking on them throughout an entire document with many different spacing formats? As it currently stands, clicking on the arrows to increase spacing is relegated to the following increments in my documents:
3, 6, 12, 18, 24, 30, etc.

I go through very large documents on a daily basis that require specific 1-pt formatting. Having to manually type in a number to guess where things should be aligned is much more time consuming than increasing and decreasing by 1-pt increments would be. Is there a setting that can be changed to achieve this?

I am not aware of any function within Word that would allow you to do that. I believe that would be a software modification rather than a user application to modify.

Other posters may offer potential solutions.

It seems to me that you need to be using Styles.
Urgently!

Tips for Understanding Styles in Word by Shauna Kelly

Trying to use Word without understanding and using styles is like pushing on a string. I resisted learning and using styles for years and now regret every day of those years because although that string was still very hard to push, it kept getting longer and longer, and had some very important projects tied to it! Once you understand styles and the Word concept of organizing things into Chinese boxes everything falls into place and instead of pushing a string, you can push a button that turns on the very powerful text processing machine known as Microsoft Word and it will start doing your work for you instead of running around behind you trying to undo what you thought you just did.

I use styles and headings for every document I create and edit. Styles work wonders when you are only formatting text. The documents I work on include many images that need to be inserted, resized, replaced, cropped, etc. This requires specific spacing for specific scenarios.

fwiw, when I'm working with graphics, I insert them by reference and do any resizing/cropping in a graphics editor. If I'm using Word, I also have a specific style for paragraphs that contain a graphics anchor.
