Bullet-points Spacing's
What i'm doing:
Writing an essay containing bullet-points and such Problem: The bullet-points subsequently get spaces between them when i never wanted them nor did anything "differently" than before yet i still get them Image: http://imgur.com/a/AmGL6 The blue brackets indicate how before this was working finely, i have been writing quite a few pages of text and time to time this comes to a problem. The red bracket indicates the space(Theproblem) which after countless ways of trying and searching ((deleting, re-entering text, re-entering text above, opening word and entering the text there then copying it back to the primary word document[worked at first but now it doesn't])) nothing works, and thanks to the incompetent Microsofts help system, i have yet to find a solution. What i want: To understand why this is happening How to fix this How to prevent this -Thanks! Last edited by France6; 02-04-2017 at 05:32 AM. |

If you click the ¶ button on the Home tab to display the formatting what does that tell you about the paragraph endings?

While it would be more beneficial to see the actual Word file (or those portions in question) it appears to be a formatting issue. Based upon what is shown, highlight all of the bulleted text then, right-click and select "Paragraph" from the menu. Make sure the SPACING options are the same for each bulleted text...AND, check the box "Don't add space between paragraphs of the same style".
Additionally, you may benefit from the link Understanding styles | ShaunaKelly.com. HTHs... |

The "Don't add space between paragraphs of the same style"-thing i had tried before to no solution.
But on the slight brighter side, i did get this fixed with your link. I highlighted the text that was broken and chose a "no-spacing" style, the con of this is that it seems to reset all other prefixes like bold/italic/underline-d or bullete'd words. |

By default, Word applies the List Paragraph paragraph style to numbered and bulleted paragraphs. You can clear the "Don't add space between paragraphs of the same style" option for the List Paragraph style.
However, the best approach is to set up a bulleted style. You can use the built-in List Bullet style as a starting point and modify its bullet format.
