Word Question - not sure how to describe

Hey everyone, I have a problem using Word 2007 and I couldn't find the solution to fix it.

If I had a document like this ->

First: (space)(space) Last:
XXXX (space)(space) XXXXX

and then later on, I would want to input a different data, that would be longer/shorter than the original name. How do I maintain the structure?


First: (space)(space) Last:
XXXXXXXX (space)XXXX



Like in this one, If I had used indent or spacing, if I added in a longer first name, the Last name will no longer be aligned with "Last:".
How do I align each category correctly?

If I understand your problem correctly I would use a table because I find it easier than mucking about wiith tabs or spaces or columns. You can the adjust the table column widths to get exactly the layout you want (for your data as shown a 5 column table might be useful with your data in the 2nd and 4th columns - this makes it easy to position the text horizontally). You can justify the text and space the columns and when happy select the table and remove all gridlines so they don't print.
