My odd and even page numbers were showing up in the footer. Now suddenly the odd page numbers are gone and pages are out of order. I have followed all the appropriate steps.
Also, every time I save my document, then reopen it, the odd page numbers are gone. I don't know what to do. This has happened four times now. Please help. I need to get my manuscript finished for publishing. Thank you. Nancy |

All of my pages in my manuscript say first page. I want to start the first page in my first chapter. I tried section breaks, followed other instructions, but nothing helps. Please help! Thank you.

The instructions you were given via the links in this thread:
https://www.msofficeforums.com/word/...rd-2016-a.html do work if followed. Evidently, some of the edits you've been making include adding/deleting Section breaks and/or header/footer content. You need to pay close attention to the relationships between these various elements. PS: Please don't hijack other threads on what are only loosely-related issues and don't start multiple new threads on closely related issues. I have merged your other new post with this thread.
