Adding thick rectangular borders to the top and bottom of a document
Hi there,
I'm probably completely missing something here, but I'm trying to add a thick border to the top and bottom of a document, so that they completely cover the edges, acting as a header and footer. Whenever I try to do this, it leaves white space at the top/bottom of the document, and the border never reaches the edges. I've played around with the margins and managed to get it so that the border nearly touches the top of the document, but when I go to preview the document, the border shows as very thin with a huge area of white space above. I've tried to do this in several ways, by adding page borders, adding rectangle shapes via Word, copying rectangle shapes from other software, adding a header in the Word Header sections, and adding tables, but nothing seems to work. Can anyone help me with this? Thanks, Ally |

Most printers (likely including yours) cannot handle printing to the edge. You may have to print on larger paper and trim.
