Ok Firstly, I apologize for my comment. I misunderstood and was under the assumption that a tech said I cannot read. I am vision impaired, paralyzed, and confined to a bed. I have been struggling for a couple of months with page numbers. Word crashed. I really would appreciate it if someone could repost those particular links for me. I appreciate each person's input. Again, I did not know this was a user forum. Thank you for understanding.

The link is immediately under this sentence. Click on it. Read Step 2.

Numbering Front Matter (Ribbon)
http://wordfaqs.ssbarnhill.com/FrontMatterRibbon.htm

The key sentence is
  1. In the Page Number Format dialog (Figure 4), change the Page numbering setting from “Continue from previous section” to “Start at 1,” and click OK.
Read the entire page. You will need the context.
