Okay, if I am going to tell you, I will tell you right (no quickie).

The TOC consist of the STYLES TOC 1, TOC 2, and (in your case) TOC 3. To see these styles, from the HOME ribbon, click on the downward arrow in the lower right-hand corner of the STYLES portion of the ribbon (right hand side). When you do that, the styles dialog box will appear on the right. In that dialog box, scroll down to TOC 1 and right-click / select MODIFY and a further dialog box will appear. In that box at the bottom click on the FORMAT tab and select TABS. The TAB dialog box will appear. Now....TOC 1 is set correctly (already). Make note of ALL the setting within that box. Now repeat the process for TOC 2 and TOC 3 (both will need to be set exactly like TOC 1).

The 'list of tables' and 'list of figures' SHOULD follow the same concept as the TOC.

Hope this helps...

In that case, and given how extensive and important your document appears to be, I suggest you take it to an agency that employs people who are expert in Word and have them tidy-up your document. What you're having trouble with is basics you should have learnt long before you got this far into your dissertation.

(Note that the tabs were not visible in previous screen shots so, nobody would have caught it so quickly).
Nevermind, got it!
Thanks so much dude
