Losing table alt text when converting to PDF
Hi, I'm using Word 2013. I have a document of both tables and images, both of which have alt text to make the documents accessible. I enter the alt text for tables by right-clicking a table --> Table Properties --> Alt Text. Likewise, for images by right-clicking the figures --> Format Picture --> Layout & Properties --> Alt Text.
The problem is, when I save the resulting file as a PDF, the alt text for the images is still present (you can see it by hovering over the image in the PDF), but for the tables it has disappeared. I tried saving the file as a PDF using the "Save As" and "Export" options, with the same results. Is anyone aware of a different method by which to retain the alt text entered for the tables once converted to PDF? |
