How do I disable this annoying suggestion box?

The newest auto-update to the Word 2016 I have on my Windows 10 computer has started popping up this little box in the upper left-hand corner of the screen whenever I'm going back through something I've written with the arrow keys or mouse. It seems to be giving me suggestions of possible variations on the word or punctuation that the cursor lands next to. It is really distracting when I'm trying to reread and edit something, and I'd like to turn it off, but I don't even know what this feature is called so I haven't been able to look up how to disable it (I tried looking up "suggestion" and a few similar terms but kept getting threads for the auto-complete function on mobile apps). I've attached a screen shot of what I'm talking about. Does anybody know what this is called and/or how I turn it off?

You may want to update your profile to reflect Office 2016.
Are you still using Windows 8?

Do you have the standalone version of Office or a subscription to Office 365?

Yeah, I didn't notice that was out of date until after I posted (I guess I haven't made a post since I got the new computer) and even though I've updated my profile now, it hasn't updated on this post. I added my current OS and Office (10 and 2016) to the wording in the original post but the icons won't change. I am using a subscription to 365.

OK, someone else will have to chime in here because my 2016 is a perpetual license version rather than the subscription and I am not observing what you are seeing. Control for this might be found in the Options > Proofing.

It looks like it is trying to suggest website urls. Have you installed any addins? Have you tried opening Word in Safe Mode to see if you get the same behaviour?
