Default Drop Caps Problem

I'm trying to do a drop cap at the beginning of a paragraph, and it's not working properly for me. I clicked in the paragraph, chose insert and drop caps. From there I went with the middle option to wrap the text, leaving the default 3 rows choice intact. The top of the letter aligns with the second row of text rather than the first and pushes the top six rows out of the way. The text only begins wrapping around on the seventh line. What am I doing wrong here? I'm running Word 2007 on a Windows 10 laptop if that matters.

From your description it seems that you are doing things correctly.

Can you supply a sample document demonstrating the problem?

Start a new document. Type the following line and press Enter.
=rand(10,7)

Then pick a paragraph and insert a drop cap in that paragraph.

Same problem?

If not, can you attach an excerpt from your document that exhibits the problem, here?
How to attach a screenshot or file in this forum.

I tried attaching a screenshot, but it said my screen is too big or something. You'll just have to take my word for it. The top of the drop cap is even with the second row, and it doesn't word wrap until the seventh line.

It works fine in other documents that are written in block style with no indent, but in this one it won't work right.

You were asked to attach a document, not a screenshot...
