Default Customizations of quick access toolbar in Word 2016 don't save

Hi all,

Just what the title says. Everytime I try to customize the Quick access toolbar, it does work, but closing and opening word results in the old default toolbar again. For the record I am using buttons from a custom toolbar containing macros.

Thanks,
