Hello,
I have an important .doc file which got corrupted. I recieve the following error message:*Error opening Word. Please help me to recover my hours of work. I tried googling and I can't seem to find an answer. Hopefully someone will be able to help me with this. How to repair .doc file? Any other information or advice? |

If this document was on a USB drive, the problem is most likely due to the USB drive being removed without going through the safe removal process. It is rare that a document corrupted by this can be recovered. You would need to restore it from your last known good backup.

In that case, what additional information does Word give if you click on the 'Details' for the error message?
