text boxes
I downloaded a word document and there are boxes with text in them. The boxes have lists in them with a word on the left side and a word on the right side of the box. Between the words are periods(.....) and they are colored purple. If I change either word in the line the periods automatically adjust to fill in the dead space between them.
What type of formatting is this and how do you do it? Matt Last edited by Charles Kenyon; 11-21-2016 at 05:11 PM. Reason: Mark as solved |

I would have to see the document to tell you exactly what structure it is that you are describing.
However, the dots between sounds like something formatted with left justification and a right-tab set with a "dot leader." Working with Tabs Alignment / Justification of Text in Microsoft Word |

Thanks, Charles!! A dot leader is exactly what it is. I am no power user of Word and I have never seen a "dot leader" before. I was able to replicate the document that I got to modify it in my own way.
Thanks again!! |
