I am creating a report where I would like the occasional full page image in the document. My boss would prefer it if the document had the page number and document title as a footer on every page. On the pages with a full page image the footer disappears behind the image.
My questions are: 1. Is there a way I can bring the page number and document title in the footer in front of the image? 2. Is there a way I can change the colour of the footer text only on the pages with an image (the footer text is grey, but would like white on the image pages so it shows up) Currently I am just replicating the footer with text box and shapes, but if someone else was to edit the document, obviously the page numbers won't update. I have attached screen shots. |

If you create the page as a separate section, put the image in the footer of that section and set the image wrap to behind text, you can type over it and insert fields etc. If the image is anchored to the text area of the page, it will be behind the text on the main page, but it will cover the footer area.

Everything Graham Mayor told you is correct.
If you have text boxes floating in front of your image, you can put a Page field in the textbox rather than a typed number. Alt+Shift+P Page Numbers in Word 2007-2016 |
