Placing Endnotes in the Middle of a Document
Hi,
I have a single thesis chapter that contains two distinct portions, a results section and an experimental section. Both sections contain footnotes. I would like to move all the footnotes to a references section located in-between the two sections. I have found a way to move the footnotes in the first section to the end of the first section, but I don't know how to move the footnotes from the second section also to the end of the first section (or if that is even possible). Another option would be to convert the footnotes to plain text and then manipulate them from there, but I can't find a way to do that automatically on a Mac. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks! |

I actually used that resource to figure out how to put endnotes at the end of a section. My issue is that I need the endnotes in section 2 of my single chapter to move to the end of section 1 with the rest of section 1's endnotes. Again, I need the references for both sections to be in-between the two sections, and I don't see how to accomplish that using that resource.

You can't move endnotes to a Section preceding the one they're in; all you can do (via the suppression process outlined in the link) is move them to a Section after the one they're in.
