Default Cross-References on Each Page

Hello forum,
I have a Chicago-style economics paper due in the morning. As such, I have plenty of footnotes to manage and format within my document. However, a problem arose when I attempted to cross-reference: the superscript still appears where I need it, but the footnote is not automatically added to the bottom of each page the source is referenced, only the first page it appears.
As an example: On page 2, I used sources 1 and 2. Both footnotes are properly added to the bottom of the page. On page 3, I used sources 1 and 3. After cross-referencing to get the corresponding superscript for source 1, no additional footnote appears on the bottom- it is only displayed on page 2.
Is there any way to rectify this so my footnotes appear on the bottom of each page they're referenced on? Or will I need to manually do this in the footer? Thanks in advance!

Footnotes and source references are two very different things.

Typically the footnote should only appear once in the document although you can choose to cross refer to a footnote if you wish. If you want the same footnote to appear on multiple pages then you need to insert it a second time.

Source references should appear once the document bibliography (in a similar way to endnotes). You can have multiple 'in text references' to the same source but the reference only gets one expanded version in the bibliography.
