Problems saving formatted AutoCorrect entries suggest a problem with saving the Normal template, because that is where formatted AutoCorrect entries are stored.

To troubleshoot the underlying cause, which is usually a poorly designed add-in, follow the steps that discuss COM add-ins, Startup folder add-ins and the Normal template in the article at https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/921541.

Try:
  1. add your formatted AutoCorrect entry,
  2. open the normal.dotm file directly (How to Open the Normal Template),
  3. try using your AutoCorrect in the normal file,
  4. undo the text you just inserted,
  5. dirty the page by typing something and then backspacing to delete it (not Undo),
  6. save and close normal.dotm.
Make a backup first. You do not want any text on the page in your normal.dotm.

Did you make sure to open the Normal template as a document, so that you see "Normal" on the title bar (and not "Document1")?

You need to open the normal template. Double-clicking on it will not open it, it will create a new document instead. Read the directions at How to Open the Normal Template.

Re-open the normal template and delete Dear Kenyon. That will not delete the dk AutoCorrect entry.

Didn't work for me this as well

Is there any way to change existing contents of Normal.dotm? formatted autocorrect appears in blue color when i use autocorrect shortcut keys which i want in black color. I followed the same alt+f11 process, but still appears in blue color.

I was using word 2003 and installed word 2013, all autocorrect worked but some appears in blue color when using and since i installed 2013, formatted autocorrect did save only till i open word 2013. when i use same tomorrow, formatted autocorrect did not work which i save yesterday, but all works which were made in word 2003

I suspect that your first language is not English.

Just so I understand...
  1. You now can save formatted Autocorrect entries in Word 2013 that work after you close Word and reopen it?
  2. Your formatted AC entries are being inserted as blue in Word 2013?
  3. You have no problems with Word 2003 Autocorrect?
  4. You do not know how to open the normal template in Word 2013 but do know how to find it?
Please just respond to the above and let me know whether each of these is correct or incorrect. If correct, please let me know what is correct.
