![]() Using MS Word 2013, I am writing a novel. As I rewrite, I make notes for my own benefit. If I want to print out a copy for someone else to read, I do NOT want those personal notes to get printed also. Any info on how I do that? Thanks. |

You can add your notes as hidden text. This is under the Font dialog.
You can choose to display hidden text, or not. You can choose to print hidden text, or not. Remember that if you give a digital copy in Word format to another person, you will be giving them your hidden text as well. Printing as pdf does not keep the hidden text. |

I'd be inclined to use Word's Comments tool for adding notes. That way, it's always obvious what's a 'note' and you don't have to remember to mess with the formatting - which can lead to rather unfortunate errors - and choosing between printing and not printing them is quite straightforward.
