Default Creating the disappearing instructions in text fields

On some forms there are rows or cells which have a greyed out text [Type Here]which goes away when you start your input. I cannot figure out how to make that happen.



Where to look or how to do.

They may be using formfields or content controls (probably the latter). You can add them via the Controls group on the Ribbon's Developer tab.

Further resources:
The description you give is for unmodified Content Controls. It would take some work to get a macrobutton field prompt to have that appearance, but it could be done.
