Question How do I retain image dpi when I insert images into Microsoft Word 2016 for Mac?

Hi,

I am using Microsoft Word on a Mac to write a thesis. When I insert images with a resolution of 300 dpi, Word downsizes the dpi and the print quality is poor. How can I retain the dpi of the original images.

I would really appreciate any advice!

Just to point out, my version of Word does not have a File>Options setting and I cannot locate any image compression option.

Thanks,

Aisling
