Hi all,
I need help with Word 2013 headings numbering. I need the numbering to start from the third heading. Example: Heading 1 Heading 2 1. Heading 3 2. Heading 4 How can i achieve this? Thanks! ![]() |

Do you mean that Heading 4 should continue the numbering from Heading 3? As far as I know, you can't set it up that way in Word.

Now that I read my post maybe I could explain better
![]() I don't mean the default word headings 1,2,3,4, they we're just examples. Here is a better example. "Introduction Abstract 1. Chapter 1 2. Chapter 2" So all of the 4 above titles are using the Heading 1 style format in Word. Can I make it so that Heading 1 numbering starts from Chapter 1 and not from Introduction? Thanks! |

Use a different, unnumbered style for your Introduction and your Abstract.
