Default Cannot open docx in word 2016

Hi, i have Microsoft Office 2016 installed in my computer on windows 10. I have a few "Microsoft Word Documents (docx)" but when i try to open it it says "This action is only valid for products that are currently installed". But when i right click and choose open with and choose word 2016 i can open the file. Any idea how i can directly open the docx file in word 2016?
