Default Protecting Forms

I have created a form in Microsoft word 2011 for Mac, I want to be able to use the form and edit it without having to constantly click protect form every time I want to make changes. I would also like to be able to click check boxes and have them work while the form is unprotected.

If anyone knows how to help me, or if this is at all possible without protecting the form please let me know.
