How to add drop shadow to cropped oval shape
Have a photo cropped to oval shape from a rectangular image but am not able to add a dropped shadow to it. When clicking on the Format, Picture Styles options the original rectangular shape is selected, which is not appropriate. Is there any way to add a dropped shadow feature to oval and circular images? Attached is a rectangular picture cropped to an oval image with a shadow. Are you not able to do this? (Screenshot from Word 2013)

Same thing using a preset picture effect. Keep in mind that Word is a word processor, not a graphics or photo editing program.

Thanks Charles.
Both approaches are available and used for the drop shadows. Being a first time user of the app I had mistakenly limited the options to Picture Styles. Many thanks for your assistance. |

You are welcome. Glad to have helped. It gave me a chance to explore features I haven't used. I may even use them in some of my jury handouts.
