Default Printing A Booklet

The printer I am currently using has the ability to take a regular letter sized document and turn it into a booklet (fold and staple). The only thing is it shrinks the context of the document to fit the half booklet page. Is there a way to utilize the extra white space and not have the context shrink?

Try saving the document in PDF format and use the booklet printing facility in Adobe Reader.
