How do I activate the status bar?

I'm using Word 2013 and the status bar has vanished. How do I get it back?

Thanks. The video did not help though: the little red dot and the purple bar on the right did not correspond to anything that I could find. I "solved" the problem by closing out Word and opening it back up. It would be nice to find a simple menu item that you could check or uncheck.
