Cannot remove a German document property (TITEL)

My Word document has both English and German document properties, specifically,it has a:
TITLE
and
TITEL

I can not edit or remove the TITEL.

Word does not see it unless I enter the advanced properties TAB and view the Document Contents.

How do I remove it????
