Template path question
I am running into a problem with some templates that I have created and the documents built from those templates. If I create a document on my computer, the templates are located in C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Microsoft\Templates. When I move the file over to a co-workers computer, he isn't seeing the template because it is reading the path with my username. Does Word not pull the environment variable for that? Am I just crazy for thinking that it would, rather than reading the literal path? |

So, from your understanding, either I have to change where I (and my coworkers and clients) store the templates, or I'm S.O.L.
Thanks for the info. Not the answer I was hoping for, but if that's the nature of the beast, I just have to deal with it. |
