Print page no. on printed page ___
Why can't Microsoft program a simple option in Word to allow a user to begin to print a page number on a particular printed page, i.e., 2 on printed page 3?

I think it is pretty simple. What problem are you having with it?
Page Numbers in Word 2007-2016 By the way, I and others answering questions here are your fellow users. We can only speculate why Microsoft does or does not do anything.

Page numbers are generally used as part of a header or footer.
