Hi I want a numbered list like
1 INT SHOP DAY i Debbie is putting the groceries away ii Customer walks in iii Startled she drops the eggs on the floor vi The sound of a fire engine is heard 2 EXT SHOP DAY i ii iii There is no way to configure word for this format I can have 1 a i but not 1 i a This is daft. |

This can be done. It is called a multilevel list. Directions for setting this up can be found here. How to create numbered headings or outline numbering in Ribbon Versions of Word by Shauna Kelly
Follow the directions exactly. Skipping steps will result in a mish-mash. |
