Yes, it has line-drawing characters, but not with the same codes.
I have old DOS programs which use code page 437, where, for example, a vertical line is ASCII 179. If I copy this to MS Word and use the Arial font, it replaces the line-drawing characters with accented characters. The ibm.ttf font, however, replicates the old ASCII codes that the program is held in and so it displays exactly as it did under DOS. |
