Office 2016 cannot use printer configuration - auto double sided printing
My old version of Word used my printer's configuration to print auto double-sided. Word 2016 still does manual double sided. I've tried configuring the Word Print dialog to no avail. How do I tell Word 2016 to use the printer's configuration.

Have you actually tested printing to that printer, regardless of which option is selected when you look at File | Print in Word?

Yes. The printer is operational. Did automatic duplex printing from old version of Word and all current programs. It's Word/Office 2016 that does manual duplex printing.

But if you leave the option in Word at "Print One Sided" do you not get duplex printouts thanks to the setting in the printer?

Stefan. Your question assumes something I'm not clear on. What I need is a how-to for configuring Word 2016 to print using a Windows 10 installed printer.

As long as the printer is correctly configured for duplex printing, you should be able to just print from within Word, via File | Print. Make sure your duplex-capable printer is selected in the Print window, and click the Print button. You shouldn't have to change any of the options related to duplexing in Word. In particular, you shouldn't select the option for manual duplexing in Word.

Unfortunately, Word 2016 prints manual duplex all the time. Can you point me to some testing and troubleshooting steps. so I can see the differences in results? The is no information in Word about this - at least with the search words I used.

Note that the first thing to test is update the printer driver. Go to the manufacturer's web site.
