Default Converting a PDF to Word

I've noticed when taking a PDF document and converting it to Word, the spaces between words become wider than a normal space.

It doesn't appear this happens to all spaces between words and the only solution seems to be that I know of to fix it...
  • backspace to the last letter of the preceding word
  • retype that letter
  • hit the space bar

Does anybody know what this character is and is there a F/R to fix it?

Without seeing the document, it's impossible to say. Have you tried the clean-up macro in the 'Sticky' thread at the top of this forum:

Unfortunately I did not send a copy home. This macro looks promising and even if it does not straigten out the original problem, it should help in other ways. I'll test it tomorrow. If this does not clean it up then I will try to get a copy. Thanks.
