Default Troubleshooting when "Word has stopped working" appears

With my Word 2013/Windows 7 I have a rather annoying problem, occurring now more and more often. The message "Word has stopped working" appears and the open Word files turn "a whiter shade of pale".
And what causes this to happen?
Itīs tiny small movements from my side, a typical example is: I try to copy a small png picture, already in the file, using Ctrl+C - or - I try to move a similar, very small, picture, that has the setting "in line with text", drawing it with the mouse. This last move is of course not possible if the picture is 'locked', but does Word really have to crash over such a small event??
Googling the problem hasnīt led me to a solution. I have no problematic adds-on.

Should add that I have performed "repair Word" once, but it did not solve the problem.

I will be grateful for any advice

Do these crashes occur if you start Word in Safe mode?

Here's how to do that: Exit Word if it is currently running. Hold the Ctrl key as you restart Word, and say yes when asked about Safe mode.

Although the content in the above links was all written long before Word 2013 came along, it's mostly still applicable.

I tried a simple exercise, first in normal mode and then in safe mode. Word crashed in both cases.
What I do is this: With the mouse I try to drag a small png that I use to cover pagenumbers (itīs a book layout), or try to copy it, using Ctrl+C. (The png was "in line with text"). In both cases Word crashed, in both modes.
