How do you stop Word making a double line spacing at the end of every paragraph? The Help function says go to a place (/users/....)that doesn't exist in my Open pane. I'm using Mac El Capitan.

The paragraph Style you're using evidently as a 'space before' and/or 'space after' setting other than 0. Setting both to 0 will reduce the inter-paragraph spacing to 0. You should do this by modifying the relevant paragraphs Style definitions. See:

Default Thanks!

Thanks, Paul. That worked. Do you know of any way to turn off the horizontal scrolling feature that Mac has now for Word docs? If you try scrolling down with 2 fingers, the document moves horizontally all over the place! It's impossible to stop it doing so, but you used to be able to turn the feature off. This new oOS doesn't offer that, as far as I can tell. Does MS Word?

Sorry, but I've never used Word on a Mac.
