Embed Visio flowchart and use cross-references?
Hi All, I want to embed a Visio flowchart into a Word 2010 document and then have cross-references to places in the Word document (I prefer Visio to Word's flowcharts because they look nicer and are easier to work with). Is it possible to create a cross-reference after the flowchart is embedded? e.g. if one of the branches points to a certain task that needs to be performed... Thanks in advance. |

What you could do is to bookmark the places you want to link to, then overlay the relevant portions of the Visio object with transparent, borderless shape objects to which you attach hyperlinks pointing to the corresponding bookmarks.
