Default Help! Font keeps changing on its own.

Hi,

I'm using Word 2000. The font doesn't stay the same throughout the document; it changes to italics or changes to a different color in some paragraphs if I make one change in the document. When I email a file to someone, the spacing between lines,
and the font characteristics are different in some places.

Is this a defective program?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks so much, Stefan. It looks complicated! I'll let you know how it goes.

In Word 2000, it is not complicated at all. Just turn off "Automatically update" for the style that you are using.

As far as what your recipient will see, you can't control that in Word, or at least very imperfectly. What happens when I send my document to someone else? Will Word mess up my formatting?

If you want them to see what you see, send it as pdf.
