Default Hyerlinks with #

Using Word 2010.

I want to insert hyperlink that contains "#".

The hyperlink is to a section of web page.

But every time I l hit Ctrl + Click on the hyper-linked word, I get directed to a non-existing page.

This is because "#" get converted to "%20-%20".

How do I solve this issue?

Thank you

This works just fine for me. If you want us to be able to help, you need to be specific enough so we can reproduce the problem.

In the browser a hyperlink with a bookmark uses a # but in Word this is represented by an \l (lowercase L) switch. If you create the hyperlink in the Hyperlink dialog box Word will create the proper syntax for you.
