Text inside text boxes create headings inside my table of contents!!! How do I delete the created he
For example:
I have a heading called 6.6 Then I have a subheading called 6.6.1 - now here is the problem: 6.6.1 is linked to text inside a text box. To clarify, there is no heading called 6.6.1 inside the stated text box. HOWEVER... For whatever reason, Word has decided that there is a heading inside the text box and it comes up in the list of headings. This is a BIG problem since this makes the headings that follow e.g. 7.1 wrong. Please let me know how to fix this. |

Try attaching a document (not an image). To do this, click on the Go Advanced button at the bottom of the message window and then on the paper clip icon.
What the Table of Contents field is picking up is something in a Heading Style that has numbering applied. It may be an empty paragraph that is in or is behind your textbox. In the meantime, here are some links that may help. |

I agree with Charles that we need an example document in Word format.
