Default Can't remove theme color

I created a color theme for my company's old branding colors. When they changed to a totally different color scheme, I deleted that theme. It no longer displays when I click the Colors icon in the Design ribbon, so I can't even edit it to the current color scheme.

HOWEVER, that stupid theme is the default color theme whenever I create a new Word document. When I hover my cursor over the Theme Color icon, that's the theme name that displays.

It does things like turn all my hyperlinks red, so I actually have to go in and change it every time I create a new document. I just want to make it go away forever. Is there some way to do this? I can't find a setting to indicate the theme I want as my default.

Thanks!

PS. I went back into the Design ribbon and clicked the Theme Color icon, then clicked Customize Colors at the bottom of the dialog. I replaced all the colors, and even kept the name of that ghost color theme thinking I might be changing the colors in that theme. But no, that old theme still attaches itself and its old colors to every new document.

I would love to know what the source of that deleted theme is so I can go in there and remove it.
